Public Figures that entered the political arena

Jon Stewart - comedian and former host of Daily Show.  Stewart is an activist/lobbyist for 9/11 first responders bill: Zadroga Bill which provides healthcare for 9/11 first responders. 

Many of the first responders either are fighting 9/11 related illnesses or lost their battle with 9/11 illnesses.

Melissa Fitzgerald- played the role of Carol Fitzpatrick in NBC hit show West Wing. Now  Fitzgerald is Director of Advancing Justice of nonprofit organization Justice for Vets. Justice for Vets provides training and technical  assistance to help communities bring together local, state, and federal resources to directly serve veterans involved in the justice system due to mental health disorders, trauma, and substance use.

Arnold Schwarzenegger-  actor and former governor of California. Schwarzenegger was elected Governor of California from 2003 to 2011. 

Al Franken- Former SNL Cast Member and Former Senator of Minnesota. Franken was forced out of U.S senate due to alleged sexual misconduct.

Kim Kardashian West -American media personality, model, businesswoman. 

 Kardashian West is now a prison reform advocate. She is notable for the release of Chris Young and Alice Marie Johnson. From her advocacy its lead to Kardashian West to study for the bar exam. 

 Law is no stranger to Kardashian. Her Late Father Robert Kardashian was one of the defense attorneys for OJ Simpson trial. Kardashian West is following in her father footsteps.
