ShopRite of Wyckoff Opens

Wyckoff Shoprite to open in January. 

Wyckoff Shoprite submitted their application in 2010.  Inserra Supermarkets battled with competitor Stop and Shop in court. 

“ Shoprite’s application before the Wyckoff Planning Board dates back to 2010 when the first of what would eventually be 38 hearings on the application was held for over two years,” according to Wyckoff Patch report. 

The board unanimously approved the application in February 2013 which sparked legal battles and series of appeals by Stop and Shop. 

The case made its way to state Supreme Court’s Appellate Division where the three-judge panel ruled in favor of Shop Rite 

Construction began in April 2018 and store will open in Jan 2019.
